You're Walking Like..."A Penguin?"

What a great weekend. Finally finished staining the fence today. Had "steak night" and everyone cleaned their plates. Nice work girls. Went to church. Lisa went shopping with Aubrey. Syd and Hadley played in the leaves. Just a great fall day.

And as I was BBQing the steaks, I looked up at the crisp blue sky, and thought, "Wow.". How lucky am I. As we hit the worst stock market month in 10 years, our family is very fortunate to have our health, food on the table, good jobs and some fun to boot. I'm very thankful for everything.

I had no idea what to call this post so figured I'd just name it after something funny Hadley said today as we were at Home Depot. We had to pick up some more fence stain and I swear, she was walking so slow that I think she could have crawled faster. So I'm saying "come on Hadley", "let's go Hadley", "Walk faster Hadley." Finally I said, "Hadley, you're walking like a..." And I could not think what she was walking like. So she filled in the gap. "A Penguin?", she says. Of course, a penguin. Although I think even the slowest Penguin on Earth could have beat her in a foot race.

1. KU whooped up on KSU.
2. Had a great lunch with Lisa, Carl, Mike up at the lawrence house
3. Watched College Road Trip and Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
4. Halloween Candy Galore! This was probably the last Halloween when I could carry Syd on my shoulders. Hope I can get in one more year. Better start lifting more weights.
5. Aubrey's Half Birthday was today!!! She really wanted a cake or song or something.
