Merry Christmas 2013

So when I added, "Read our Christmas Blog Post" to our Christmas card, I thought to myself, "If you can't get cards out on time, how are you going to have the time to write a Christmas blog post?" I completely ignored the voice of reason and all the people who are not big fans of holiday family letters.

I was going to be creative and write about the real meaning of Christmas and how it would be great if everyone could hit pause and take time to tell each other how much we love each other and that the material gifts don't really matter. I think we all know that.

It's fun to celebrate our Faith in God and love of friends and family.

Instead of a Christmas sermon, I thought you'd enjoy the story behind our 2013 Christmas card photo.

It was a year of...
- Blessings that included Hadley's first communion
- Sports injuries (Hadley gymnastic's related broken arm and Sydney Plica knee from soccer and major growth spurt. She is wearing Lisa's clothes!)
- Sibling rivalry like Carley trying to steal the show from her siblings as you can see from her photo bombing Aubrey's pic.
- Lots of outdoor play in the yard, camping and Tough Mudder fun

We want all our friends and family to know that we'd like to see you more in 2014. So let's plan on getting together between now and next year's holiday card.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
